What does “closed for intake” mean at a Danish GP?

“Closed for intake” means the clinic has reached its maximum number of registered patients and takes no new ones — you cannot select it at borger.dk. This currently applies to 857 of Denmark's 1653 clinics (52%).

Status changes continuously: as patients move away, a clinic can reopen — often for only a few days until the list fills again. Spotting the opening first is what matters.
